Disney Here We Come
Ever since we started planning our wedding, we started planning our honeymoon. I always knew I wanted to go to Disney World. I am afraid to fly, so my honeymoon had to be somewhere we could drive. And what better place to start a marriage than Disney? Having fun, eating good food, being silly kids, etc. Our plan was to come home Saturday after the wedding, sleep for a few hours and leave around 3am. Needless to say, we got home around 10pm, opened presents, and were so high on life we said forget bed let's leave now!! So we quickly unloaded the car from the wedding and repacked it for Disney. We were so happy and so excited we didn't want to wait anymore. And I am so glad we didn't. We had no traffic, the weather was nice, and we were to Disney by noon on Sunday! It was awesome! The whole week at Disney the weather was perfect. We went at a great time. And the crowd was great too. It was the week after Easter and Spring break so we didn't have to wait on any rides. Most rides we rode twice. That night we went to Downtown Disney. Neither of us had been there and we enjoyed walking around. We ate our first nice meal as a married couple at House of Blues and it was so yummy. The next day was at Hollywood studios. Throughout the rest of the week we went to Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately Epcot and Magic Kingdom days we did see heavy storms and even hail, so we didn't get to do everything we wanted to those days. But even so we had the most fun, ate awesome food, way too much food, and enjoyed starting our lives as one. I can't wait to go back, whether it's by ourselves, with another couple or with our children. I have to admit, I can't wait to see Disney through our children's eyes. I also need to add we had the best travel agent we could have asked for. I will continue to use her for our Disney trips for as long as she is working. She was amazing. We told her when we needed to go, what we wanted to do, how much we wanted to spend, and she did the rest. She booked our resort, our theme park tickets, all of our dining reservations, everything. She even sent us a nice gift package before our trip. I highly recommend her! Thank you Tara for making our honeymoon so incredibly nice!

The Best Day Ever
I will never forget my wedding day. I remember almost every detail. I woke up at 8am, in hot pink pajama pants and my ASU football sweatshirt. I checked my phone thinking someone might have called to wake me up but I guess they wanted me to get plenty of beauty sleep! I grabbed my hairbow, nail polish, medicine, phone and headed downstairs. When I stepped into the cafeteria I saw my cousin Dena, my aunt Burnette, my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces. I sat down and talked to them for a minute. I started to head in the kitchen and saw Johnnie. I turned around quickly, screaming, "Why didn't anyone tell me he was in there?" My cousin Dena said, "I only think that matters if you are in your dress!" In the meantime Johnnie had heard me and came out of the kitchen. I turned around and he had the biggest grin on his face, he gave me the biggest hug, and told me he loved me. Tradition or not, it was the best feeling in the world. He went on helping in the kitchen and I sat down to eat some breakfast. After eating my sister painted my finger and toe nails. I still thought I had all this time to relax and then my phone rings. It was my hairdresser asking if I was still coming! I couldn't believe it was already 10am. Morgan finished my nails, I ran upstairs to change clothes and she helped me get everything I needed. I rushed off to get my hair and makeup done. Once I was there and in the chair I finally got to close my eyes and relax a little. Before I knew it, she was done and it was 11:30! WHAT??? I was supposed to be fully dressed and ready for pictures by 12!!! Not to mention I had to stop at Food Lion because Johnnie and I forgot our toothbrushes! It felt like forever before I got back to the wedding site, but I did, and I was rushing. I made sure Johnnie was out of sight and I ran to my room. Morgan was luckily almost ready with her hair and makeup so she could help me. She touched up a little bit of the makeup that I didn't particularly like and then I just sat and waited for my time to put on my dress! Morgan was busy finished with herself, helping mom and me, and getting the girls dressed, diapers changed and ready to go. Luckily Terrance was up there sitting with the girls while we finished. Once everyone, except me, was ready, mom and Terrance took the girls downstairs. It was really nice having time with just my sister. Our relationship has always been a struggle but for that one day she was there for me, every step of the way. She helped me put my dress on, fix all the layers of material, put my jewelry on, shoes on, garters on, etc. Then I had just a second to peek out the window at the people, read my card from Johnnie, open my present and take a deep breath. I was ready. I had never been so ready for something in my life. Johnnie's mom came up to see me, told me I was beautiful and gave me a kiss. I am so blessed with my in-laws. Everyone went downstairs except me. I wanted to capture my dad's face when he saw me for the first time. Dad was waiting at the bottom of the stairs when I came down. I saw his face and he was so happy. After some hugs, pictures and kisses, it was time to go to the church. One thing I will never forget was the closer we walked towards the church the more nervous I got. Not nervous to marry Johnnie, just nervous to walk down the aisle and have everyone staring at me. But what I won't forget is dad was talking to me about taxes. How when you get married you get to file joint taxes. It was odd, it was funny, but I will never forget it. The church was packed, I could hear the musicians singing and I knew any minute it would be my turn. My director Judy told me to take a deep breath, enjoy this moment, walk slow, and smile. The doors opened, everyone looked at me and the music started. I don't think I ever took my eyes off of Johnnie. He had the biggest grin on his face. Can I can't even think of my favorite part of the ceremony. The whole thing was beautiful. Everything our pastor Sam said was perfect, reading our own vows was perfect, the kiss was perfect, everything was more than anything I expected. It couldn't have gone any better. Just like with most weddings, after the ceremony we had lots of pictures, then headed to the reception. Our reception was gorgeous! My mom and dad along with others worked so incredibly hard to make this beautiful and special for Johnnie and I. The first time I saw it I was brought to tears. Our cakes were beautiful and I couldn't wait to try them. I did have one big surprise that I saw at the reception. My childhood friend, Krystal, had told me earlier she wouldn't be able to come to the wedding. I was sad but she had a really good reason. After Johnnie and I had gotten our food and sat down, I happen to look up and saw across the room Krystal. I walked toward her and we were both crying. I was so happy she was there and it meant so much to me. She said she knew earlier in the week she would be able to come but wanted to surprise me. It was the best surprise. My only regret is we didn't get a picture together. But the memory will always be in my heart. We had a lot of good food, had fun talking to everyone, dancing, and enjoying the day. My wedding day could not have been more perfect. It was beyond anything I ever expected. The only thing I wish is for the day to have slowed down and not go so fast. Everyone says your wedding day flies by. Now that I have been through it, I have to agree. It went so fast. But fast or not, we are so happy to be married and our wedding day was amazing!

Behind, are we?
Wow! Have I really not blogged since November? Time is going way too fast! And with that said, we have 5 1/2 weeks to go for the wedding! Oh dear! So much has gotten done and so much is left to do! My head feels like it's spinning and I have so many lists made. Craft list, packing list, to do list, etc. We had a great Thanksgiving, even better Christmas, wonderful New Years, and now we are full speed ahead on the wedding. We had a very nice bridal shower given by Johnnie's family. We received many nice things and I can't wait to use them in our home. Last weekend was my bachelorette/lingerie party and we had so much fun! I won't spoil any surprises for Johnnie but I was given some very pretty things! Sunday was my bridal portraits and for the first time, seeing myself fully dressed, hair and make-up done, made everything so real. I felt special, beautiful and loved. I can't wait to see my pictures. My photographer, Bobbie Jo, is amazing. She is so good and I know I will enjoy looking at these pictures for many years. I haven't seen any at this point but I am anxiously waiting!
I still can't believe I'm getting married. I am so happy, excited, in love, and just in awe of what our God can do and His plan for us. I will never doubt Him or lose faith when He is so amazing.
"God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before Him. When I got my act together, He gave me a fresh start...God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to His eyes" ~Psalm 18:20, 24
